The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
