And when he turned his attention towards Madyan he said, “It is likely that my Lord will show me the right path.” 22 And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man." 23 So he watered (their flocks) for them; then he turned back to the shade, and said:"O my Lord! truly am I in (desperate) need of any good that Thou dost send me!" 24 Soon thereafter one of the two women came to him, walking bashfully, and said: "My father invites you that he may reward you for your having watered our flocks for us. " When Moses came to him and narrated to him the whole of his story, he said: "Have no fear. You are now safe from the iniquitous people." 25 One of the two women said, “O my father! Employ him – indeed a strong and trustworthy employee is better.” 26 He said: verily I wish I would marry thee to one of these two daughters of mine provided that thou hirest thyself to me for eight years. Then if thou completest ten it will be of thine own accord, and I would not make it hard for thee; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the righteous. 27 [Moses] said, "That is [established] between me and you. Whichever of the two terms I complete - there is no injustice to me, and Allah, over what we say, is Witness." 28
