The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The All High (Al-A'alaa). Sent down in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
