The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
