The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! 1 He sends down the angels with inspiration of His Command to whom of His slaves He pleases (saying): "Warn mankind that La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so fear Me (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds). 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth. High is He above what they associate with Him. 3 He created mankind from a sperm drop, yet he is a clear adversary. 4 And the cattle He created for you. In them, you have warmth and other uses, and of them you eat. 5 And for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture. 6 and they bear your loads unto a land that you never would reach, excepting with great distress. Surely your Lord is All-clement, All-compassionate. 7 And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not. 8 And [because He is your Creator,] it rests with God alone to show you the right path: yet there is [many a one] who swerves from it. However, had He so willed, He would have guided you all aright. 9
