And [mention] when Moses said to his servant, "I will not cease [traveling] until I reach the junction of the two seas or continue for a long period." 60 When they reached the confluence they forgot the fish (they had brought as food) which swiftly made its way into the sea. 61 So when they had passed further on (beyond that fixed place), Musa (Moses) said to his boy-servant: "Bring us our morning meal; truly, we have suffered much fatigue in this, our journey." 62 He said: lookest thou! when we betook ourselves to the rock, then I forgot the fish; and naught but the Satan made me forget to mention it, and it took its way into the sea - a marvel! 63 Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come). 64 Then the twain found a bondman from Our bondmen, him We had vouchsafed a mercy from before Us, and him We had taught from Our presence a knowledge. 65 Moses said unto him: "May I follow thee on the understanding that thou wilt impart to me something of that consciousness of what is right which has been imparted to thee?" 66 He said: Surely you cannot have patience with me 67 'For how can you bear patiently with that which you have never encompassed in your knowledge' 68 Moses said, "God willing, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in any thing." 69 He said: Well, if thou go with me, ask me not concerning aught till I myself make mention of it unto thee. 70
