Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
