The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 he was created of gushing water 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
