The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. 2 who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayer, and expend of that We have provided them; 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 those are upon guidance from their Lord, those are the ones who prosper. 5 As for those who have rejected (these things), it is all the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they are not going to believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing and there is a covering over their eyes, and there is a great punishment for them. 7
