Hizb 31

And so the two went on their way, till [they reached the seashore; and] when they disembarked from the boat [that had ferried them across,] the sage made a hole in it - [whereupon Moses] exclaimed: "Hast thou made a hole in it in order to drown the people who may be [travelling] in it? Indeed, thou hast done a grievous thing!" 71 Said he, 'Did I not say that thou couldst never bear with me patiently?' 72 Moses said: 'Do not blame me for what I forgot, nor press me to do something which is too difficult' 73 Then the twain journeyed until when they met a boy, and he killed him. Musa said: hast thou slain a person innocent not in return for a person? Assuredly thou hast committed a thing formidable. 74 ۞ He said: "Did I not tell you that you will not be able to patiently bear with me?" 75 Moses said: "Keep me no more in your company if I question you concerning anything after this. You will then be fully justified." 76 So they went on until they came to a town. They asked its people for food, but were refused hospitality. They found a wall in the town which was about to fall down. His companion buttressed it and Moses said, "Had you wished, you could have demanded payment for your labours." 77 He said: this shall be the parting between me and thee; now I shall declare unto thee the interpretation of that wherewith thou wast not able to have patience. 78 "As for the ship, it belonged to Masakin (poor people) working in the sea. So I wished to make a defective damage in it, as there was a king after them who seized every ship by force. 79 And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we apprehended that he might impose upon the twain exorbitance and infidelity. 80 We wanted their Lord to replace him with someone purer than him and more compassionate. 81 And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and there was beneath it a treasure for them, and their father had been righteous. So your Lord intended that they reach maturity and extract their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord. And I did it not of my own accord. That is the interpretation of that about which you could not have patience." 82
