The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
