The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
