Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
