Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
