Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 We have placed in it gardens of date palms and vines, and caused springs to gush [forth] from it, 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Purity is to Him Who created all pairs, from what the earth grows, and of themselves, and from the things they do not know. 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 While the sun keeps revolving in its orbit. This is the dispensation of the mighty, all-knowing (God). 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 The sun cannot overtake the moon, nor can the night outpace the day: each floats in [its own] orbit. 40 how We carried them and their offspring inside the laden Ark 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 and [that,] if such be Our will, We may cause them to drown, with none to respond to their cry for help: and [then] they cannot be saved, 43 Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while. 44 And [yet,] when they are told, "Beware of [God's insight into] all that lies open before you and all that is hidden from you, so that you might be graced with His mercy," [most men choose to remain deaf;] 45 And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away. 46 And when it is said to them, 'Expend of that God has provided you,' the unbelievers say to the believers, 'What, shall we feed such a one whom, if God willed, He would feed? You are only in manifest error!' 47 They also say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 48 They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. 49 They will have no time to make a will, nor shall they return to their own people. 50
