T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
