Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is no merriment. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
