And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority 96 to Pharaoh and his nobles. But they obeyed the command of Pharaoh even though Pharaoh's command was not rightly-directed. 97 He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire; and wretched is the place to which they are led. 98 They are condemned in this world and in the life to come. Evil is the gift and the recipient! 99 We relate to you such accounts of earlier towns: some of them are still standing; while others have ceased to exist; 100 We did not wrong them; they wronged themselves; the deities they called on besides God availed them nothing: when God's command came upon them, they only added to their ruin. 101 Such is the punishment of your Lord when He seizes human settlements in the acts of wickedness. Surely His hold is grievous and terrible. 102 Most surely there is a sign in this for him who fears the chastisement of the hereafter; this is a day on which the people shall be gathered together and this is a day that shall be witnessed. 103 Nor shall We withhold it except till an appointed term. 104 and when that Day arrives, no soul shall speak but by His leave. Among those some shall be damned, and others shall be blessed. 105 As for those who will be wretched (on that day) they will be in the Fire; sighing and wailing will be their portion therein, 106 [They will be] abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord should will. Indeed, your Lord is an effecter of what He intends. 107 ۞ Those who are blessed shall abide in the Garden; they will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Such bounty shall be unending. 108 So be not in doubt (O Muhammad SAW) as to what these (pagans and polytheists) men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them). And verily, We shall repay them in full their portion without diminution. 109
