The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
