'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron my brother 30 To strengthen me 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
