And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 about what they did. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
