He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 you attended to him, 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 and in awe of God 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 We send down abundant water, 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
