And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They say: Nay, but you (misleaders), for you there is no word of welcome. Ye prepared this for us (by your misleading). Now hapless is the plight. 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
