O People who Believe! Do not devour usury doubling and quadrupling it; and fear Allah, hoping that you achieve success. 130 And guard yourselves against the fire which has been prepared for the unbelievers. 131 and obey God and the Messenger, so that you may be given mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord; and a Garden, the extensiveness of which is (as) the heavens and the earth, it is prepared for those who guard (against evil). 133 Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good; 134 And those who, if they commit a shameful act or some wrong against themselves, remember God and seek forgiveness for their sins: For who can forgive except God? They should not be perverse about their doings, knowingly. 135 These it is who shall have as their reward forgiveness from their Sustainer, and gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide: and how excellent a reward for those who labour! 136 Systems have passed away before you. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for those who did deny (the messengers). 137 This (the Quran) is a plain statement for mankind, a guidance and instruction to those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 138 Faint not, neither sorrow; you shall be the upper ones if you are believers. 139 If there hath befallen you a sore, a sore like thereunto hath already befallen that people. These are the haps that We change about among mankind, that Allah may know those who believe and may take martyrs from among you; and Allah loveth not the wrong doers. 140 and that God may prove the believers, and blot out the unbelievers. 141 Do you think that you will enter Paradise before Allah tests those of you who fought (in His Cause) and (also) tests those who are As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)? 142 And certainly you desired death before you met it, so indeed you have seen it and you look (at it) 143
