The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
