The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
