۞ And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them (so much as) "Ugh" nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word. 23 And make yourself submissively gentle to them with compassion, and say: O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up (when I was) little. 24 Your Lord knows very well what is in your hearts if you are righteous, for He is All-forgiving to those who are penitent. 25 And give the kinsman his right, and the needy, and the traveller; and never squander; 26 Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful. 27 But if you turn away from them to seek the Mercy of your Lord, hoping to attain it, then speak to them with gentle words. 28 Do not be niggardly, nor extravagant that you may later feel reprehensive and constrained. 29 Certainly your Lord provides with open hands whosoever He will, but according to capacity, for He knows and watches His creatures. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
