The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
