And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
