Did you not see those who dispute concerning Allah's Signs? Whence are they, then, being turned astray? 69 Those who deny the Book (this Quran), and that with which We sent Our Messengers (i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone sincerely, and to reject all false deities and to confess resurrection after the death for recompense) they will come to know (when they will be cast into the Fire of Hell). 70 when, with iron collars and chains around their necks, they are dragged 71 into boiling water, then, into the Fire they shall be poured. 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 (And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant. 75 “Enter the gates of hell, to remain in it forever”; so what a wretched destination for the haughty! 76 (Muhammad), exercise patience. The promise of God is true. Whether We let you witness the suffering with which they were threatened or because of your death (you do not see them suffering,), We shall still punish them when they return to Us (on the Day of Judgment). 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
