Samood rejected the warning. 23 They said, "Should we follow only one person among us. We shall be clearly in error and in trouble (if we do so). 24 Hath the admonition been laid upon him from amongst us! Aye! he is a liar insolent. 25 Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one! 26 Behold, [O Salih] We are letting loose this she-camel as a test for them; and thou but watch them, and contain thyself in patience. 27 And tell them that the water [of the well] is to be divided between them, and that each one should drink in turn." 28 They called together their companions and agreed to slay the she-camel. 29 Ah! how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning! 30 We loosed against them one Cry, and they were as the wattles of a pen-builder. 31 Now We have made the Koran easy for Remembrance. Is there any that will remember? 32 The people of Lot cried lies to the warnings. 33 [and so,] behold, We let loose upon them a deadly tempest; and only Lot 's kinsfolk did We save at the break of dawn, 34 As a favour from Us. That is how We reward the grateful. 35 Surely Lot warned his people that We shall seize them (with Our chastisement), but they doubted the warnings. 36 They even solicited of him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes: 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 37 Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them: 38 'Taste now My chastisement and My warnings!' 39 And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
