Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen me through him 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 so that we may glorify 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
