Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
