The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
