The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
