THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
