The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
