Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 That this is indeed the word of the noble Messenger, 40 It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe! 41 and neither is it - however little you may [be prepared to] take it to heart - the word of a soothsayer: 42 (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand, 45 Then cut off his aorta, 46 Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath). 47 And surely it is an admonition to the God-fearing. 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 And indeed it is a despair for the disbelievers. 50 And indeed it is a certain Truth. 51 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), proclaim the purity of your Lord, the Greatest. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
