Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
