And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
