Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
