The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
