Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
