Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
