Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
