Alshu'araa' 6 of 11

The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
