Nay, by the Moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to humans, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
