O Ye who believe! devour not usury, multiplied manifold; and fear Allah, haply ye may fare well. 130 Save yourselves from the fire which is prepared for the unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the messenger, that ye may find mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another for your Lord's forgiveness and for a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for the God-fearing, 133 Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good; 134 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. 135 their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will abide forever. How excellent will be the reward of those who do good works. 136 Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied. 137 This Quran is an exposition for the people and a guidance and admonition for those who fear God. 138 So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith. 139 If a wound touches you, a like wound already has touched the heathen; such days We deal out in turn among men, and that God may know who are the believers, and that He may take witnesses from among you; and God loves not the evildoers; 140 Allah's object also is to purge those that are true in Faith and to deprive of blessing Those that resist Faith. 141 Did you think that you would enter Paradise even though Allah has not yet seen who among you strove hard in His way and remained steadfast? 142 You did indeed wish for death (Ash-Shahadah - martyrdom) before you met it. Now you have seen it openly with your own eyes. 143
