And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And all that they had done for security availed them nothing. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 About what they used to do. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
