He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 These verses are a reminder 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 On honoured leaves 13 uplifted, purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Some faces on that Day shall be beaming with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
