Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
